The manual laser welding system is being tested at NEFAZ

A manual laser welding system is being tested at NEFAZ, KAMAZ subsidiary in Bashkortostan.

With such welding, the time for seam is significantly reduced due to the high concentration of energy in the laser beam, in many cases preliminary cutting of the edges is not required, there is no need to wait for the seam to cool down between passes. The welding process with a laser device is non-contact.

Tests of the new equipment will last for a month. Now it is being tested in bus production for handrail welding. Then, with its help, it is planned to weld galvanized sheets to increase productivity when welding the frame of the driver's workplace and other components to replace less productive welding methods.
