The KAMAZ Foundry Plant has been replenished with new video endoscopes

Video endoscopes with a flexible replaceable controlled probe have appeared in the cast iron production of the KAMAZ Foundry Plant. The equipment makes it possible to control the quality of internal hard-to-reach channels in castings and modify them, if necessary.

The novelty, purchased for the Heat Treatment and Fettling Shop, has a small screen, a joystick and a camera on a flexible hose about one meter long. The equipment has two replaceable batteries. The portable device allows looking "behind the wall" and check any hole of the cylinder head and the engine cylinder block itself for modern KAMAZ models. This has improved the quality of castings used in the engine production.

Depending on the engine type, it is possible to check 36 or 108 units of this motor unit per shift. The monthly plan is 7,000 cylinder block heads and about 1,000 cylinder blocks.
