Production of V8 engine was resumed at ZMZ

The Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ), part of the Sollers group, has resumed production of V8 engines with electronic injection (injector).

The injector V8 has the working name ZMZ-5245.10 and is a bi-fuel unit, i.e., it is capable of consuming both gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (propane-butane). According to Alexey Lazarev, Deputy Director of the Zavolzhsky UAZ branch, a domestic ECU manufactured in Russia is being installed in the modern version of this engine.

With a displacement of 4.67 liters, capacity of ZMZ-5245.10 unit reaches 138 HP and 314 Nm of torque. Its exhaust corresponds to the "Euro-4/Euro-5" emission standard.
