Modern Transport Technologies Group, the largest distributor of commercial and passenger vehicles, announced the launch of sales of the Valdai 8 medium-duty truck within the framework of the COMTRANS 2023 exhibition.

A high margin of safety was initially laid in the new truck design. The use of components and assemblies from a larger 8.7-ton model made it possible for engineers to increase the load–bearing capacity of the novelty - Valdai 8 chassis has a carrying capacity of 4.6 tons (its predecessor, Valdai NEXT, had less than 3.8 tons). The truck is manufactured in versions with a standard and extended wheelbase, as well as six versions of standard van sizes, the maximum volume of which can reach 29 m3. The Valdai 8 design also assumes great variability in the choice of body superstructures – from Euro platforms to tanks and tower truck manipulators.

A new diesel engine of the "G" series is installed under the hood of the "Valdai 8". With a small volume of 2.5 liters, this unit increases the traction and dynamic properties of the model. The engine capacity is 149.6 HP, and the maximum torque reaches 420 Nm.
