Sergey Kogogin, KAMAZ General Director, took part in the ceremonial launch of the production of the Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant, held on November 23, 2022 in Moscow. PJSC "KAMAZ" acts as a technological partner of the project.

In 2023-2024, the production of Moskvich cars will be carried out using the large-node assembly technology with a gradual increase in the share of localization. The first Moskvich cars will roll off the assembly line in December 2022, by the end of the current year 600 cars will be assembled at the plant – 400 cars with internal combustion engines and 200 electric vehicles. Sales of Moskvich cars in Russia will begin in December 2022. The first model of the revived brand will be Moskvich 3.
