KIA plant will be built in Kazakhstan

A KIA plant will be built in Kostanay, near the border with Russia. The company's work will start in 2025. It is planned to invest $ 200 million into the project. A component manufacturing facility will also be built nearby. Design capacity of the plant will be 70 thousand units of equipment per year.

The first model produced at the enterprise is expected to be KIA Sorento crossover, and in 2026, the plant will begin to assemble KIA Sportage. Presumably, cars from this plant will be supplied to the Russian Federation, but detailed information about this has not yet been provided.
