Based on the study results the analytical center "Expert" published an annual rating on the level of customer orientation and investment potential over the past year. The list of regions located 120 km from the Russian economic growth centers and up to 250 km from Moscow and Saint Petersburg includes the Ulyanovsk region, which occupies the leading position along with the capital regions and Tatarstan Republic.

The Ulyanovsk region became one of the first Russian regions, which began to build industrial parks and provide preferences for special economic zones for the development of industrial and economic potential. There are two KAMAZ subsidiaries located on the region territory – the Dimitrovgrad Industrial Park "Master" and JSC "DAAZ". According to the rating results, the companies entered the TOP-10 leading enterprises, having taken the seventh and eighth places, respectively. A total of 52 industrial parks of the country were assessed in this subgroup.
