KAMAZ handed over KAMAZ-6292 extra-large electric bus and KAMAZ-6299-40-5F articulated bus to the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans for trial operation. Tests of the new electric bus and bus on the routes of the capital will last six months, which will allow testing both models at different times of the year under different weather conditions. Based on the results of the tests, the possibility of purchasing KAMAZ articulated passenger vehicles for operation on the busiest highways in the city will be considered.
KAMAZ-6292 (accordion) extra-large electric bus has passed all the necessary checks and has already entered the route connecting the Salarievo and Kitay-Gorod metro stations. The length of the new KAMAZ accordion electric bus is 18.7 m, with a range of up to 135 km after recharging, which is 55 km more than that of large-class electric buses manufactured in 2023-2024. All the convenient services familiar to Muscovites are still available here. At the same time, they are designed for a larger number of passengers. There are 47 seats in the cabin, the total passenger capacity is 135 people.
KAMAZ-6299-40-5F extra-large articulated bus combines advanced engineering solutions, high capacity and increased passenger comfort. Serial production of the diesel version of KAMAZ accordion bus started in 2024. The bus is made according to the pushing scheme: the power unit and the drive axle are located in the trailer section. This solution helps optimize weight distribution, improve vehicle stability and handling.
