Specialists are mastering new installations in the central plant laboratory of the KAMAZ Automobile Plant – a cutting machine and a press. With the work on this equipment, the preparation of samples for the study of metals begins.

In terms of equipment and capabilities, the cutting machine surpasses its predecessor, standing next door in the workshop. Previously, in order to cut off piece of the part for research, the grinder, relying on his experience, tried to make a cut exactly according to the intended contour. After the operation, the burn could form at the site of the cut, and then it was necessary to make a new blank for the slot. The new equipment practically eliminates the appearance of such interference. The automatic cutting machine has a laser sight that clearly indicates the cut line. During the cutting operation, a special anticorrosive liquid is supplied, which protects the working surfaces of the table and samples from rust and oxidation.
