KAMAZ has mastered the production of another model of the new generation vehicles. The first all-wheel drive KAMAZ-65954 tractor unit rolled off the assembly line of the automobile plant.
KAMAZ-65954 is a 6x6 tractor unit that belongs to the all–wheel drive family of vehicles of the latest K5 generation. It is designed for use as part of road trains with GVW of up to 100 tons. The vehicle's performance characteristics allow it to be used in conjunction with heavy-duty semi-trailers designed to transport heavy construction and other equipment.
The vehicle is equipped with a 2,300 mm wide cabin with one berth, 560-HP KAMAZ R6 engine, manual gear box, and 16.00R20 tires. The tractor unit is equipped with an automatic tire pumping system with control via the on-board information system screen. The truck has a high degree of cross–country capability due to all-wheel drive: the wheel formula is 6x6, all three axles are driving, with a bevel center gear and planetary wheel reducers. The high road clearance and durable metal front bumper should also be noted.
