GAZ Group announced that in Q IV of 2022, the production of a new Citymax 9 bus will start in Russia. The novelty production will be launched at the Pavlovo Bus Plant, but in the future the assembly will be set up at other production facilities.

Citymax 9 is the first model of the new generation buses, which in the future will include vehicles from 9 to 19 m long, and with capacity from 70 to 200 people.

It is reported that the production of Citymax 9 at the Pavlovo Bus Plant will begin with a diesel version, in the future the engine range will be expanded through the introduction of gas and electric units. The diesel and gas Citymax 9 models will be equipped with YAMZ-534 engine and automatic GAZ gear box. The localization level of buses with the YAMZ engine will be about 90%.
