Financial results of new truck sales exceeded 320 billion rubles

According to Russian Automotive Market Research, following results of the first nine months of 2020, the new truck market revenue amounted to 322 billion rubles, which was a 4.1% decline on the same period of 2019.Negative dynamics of the market revenue was caused by a 7% drop in new truck sales. 

The leader by financial results among regional markets was the Moscow region. Over the first nine months of 2020, new trucks on 27.7 billion rubles were sold in the region. Capacity of markets of Moscow and Tatarstan Republic, which are also among TOP-3, amounted to 25.1 billion rubles and 23.7 billion rubles, respectively.

Half of TOP-10 regions showed positive dynamics of the market revenue.

For the reporting period, the best financial result belonged to KAMAZ. Sales of new KAMAZ trucks in money terms amounted to 107.9 billion rubles. It was followed by VOLVO, truck sales of which in money terms amounted to 34.5 billion rubles. TOP-3 also included SCANIA with a financial result of 34.5 billion rubles.

Three TOP-10 brands (KAMAZ, URAL and ISUZU) kept positive dynamics of the market revenue not only due to the growth of weighted average prices, but increase in sales by 0.8%, 25.7% and 1.8%, respectively.
