AvtoVAZ predicts the possibility of reducing production in 2025

AvtoVAZ has thought about reducing the car production plan of 500 thousand units approved in early November for 2025, according to the enterprise head Maxim Sokolov.

Mr. Sokolov explains that the possibility of reducing production volumes is due to the general decline in the automotive market by 29% compared to October this year, which follows from the data provided by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Recall that earlier, the department head Anton Alikhanov voiced AvtoVAZ's intentions to increase the car production to 700 thousand units per year for 6 years.

Also, shortly before that, results of LADA car sales for November 2024 were announced. According to them, the company sold 39,583 cars over a month, which was a 9.8% rise on the similar period of the previous year.
