17.02.2026 / Hubs as a way to sell stocks. Alfa-Leasing Group of Companies
In 2025, the leasing market faced a challenge in the form of rising stocks. A number of leasing companies have chosen the creation of hubs as a way to deal with distressed assets. Advantages and future of hubs were discussed by the marketing agency NAPI with Irina Agranovskaya, Director of Digital Services and Projects at Alfa-Leasing Group of Companies.
— In 2025, Alfa-Leasing opened its first hubs in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. What criteria were paramount when choosing locations for the hubs? Where else are you planning to open hubs?
— We are creating a centralized management model and unified standards for processes, services and digital control. Hubs are located mainly in large cities with high logistical and customer potential. In the near future, we plan to open similar multifunctional sites in Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk and other regional centers.
The key criteria when choosing a specific site are the availability of a hard surface, infrastructure for maintenance, opportunities for pre–sale preparation and subsequent sales of vehicles. Special attention is paid to security: protected area, fencing, video surveillance. It should be convenient for the buyer to navigate the site, quickly receive consultations and process documents.
— Does the hub work only with your leasing company's vehicles?
- Yes. This is the basic rule, but there are exceptions for regions with a low concentration of stocks, where we allow the possibility of placing the hubs in the same location with other leasing companies. In this case, the basic requirement is zoning, storing our vehicles separately from other companies, and categorizing it into cars, trucks, special purpose vehicles, trailers, and other groups.
— What are the advantages of hubs? How much automated and digitized is the management process?
— Hubs make it possible to combine a convenient client path and effective asset management. Customers receive a transparent choice of vehicles from the online showcase to on-site inspection and consultation. A potential buyer can familiarize themselves with the range on Alfa-Leasing's website or on classifieds in advance, then come to the hub, personally inspect the vehicle and receive professional advice on its technical condition.
For Alfa-Leasing, hubs are the basis of a digital fleet management system. We are consistently developing digital solutions in hub management at key stages – from vehicle removal to storage and delivery to the client. We are implementing a comprehensive accounting system that ensures control of vehicle movement, document management and mutual settlements with partners. Automation of key processes in 2025 made it possible to monitor assets in real time, increase turnover and improve the quality of operational support.
— Did the opening of hubs help in working with the stock?
— In 2025, Alfa-Leasing stock received about 10 thousand vehicles. Trucks accounted for the main share, about 70%. The remaining 30% belonged to cars, special purpose vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
Hubs allowed us to build a balanced model of working with the stock. By the end of last year, about a thousand vehicles was supplied to the stock every month, while about one and a half thousand units were sold. About 70% of all stock vehicles sold was transferred to re–leasing, and another 30% - was sold. The share of used vehicles in sales grew from 14% to 31%.
— What will happen to the hubs after the 2025 record stock sales?
— We are increasing our competencies in the field of technical support of vehicles and forming our own operational infrastructure. This will facilitate the development of new products located at the facilities of our hubs.
