Cost of travel along the route

Creation of an itinerary list using the DV–TCO online calculator

Select a vehicle, departure and arrival points. DV–TCO will create one or more available travel options. Selection of a route depends on the type of vehicle (car, truck or LCV). For example, the tool takes into account truck movement restrictions (bridges, axle load, etc.).

DV–TCO calculates the trip cost, the route length and the travel time for each of the routes. When planning the route, you can include or exclude travel on toll roads and off-the-highway. To calculate the trip cost, the tool takes into account a number of parameters:

  • Fuel cost and its consumption rate for the selected model per 100 km and along the route;
  • Elevation differences on the route (when driving uphill, fuel consumption increases, which results in the trip cost growth);
  • Cargo, trailer, or semi-trailer weight for commercial vehicles;
  • Cost of toll road sections;
  • Downtime and driver’s salary, if they are accounted for by the user.

The total cost of vehicle ownership is included in the trip cost. The economic activity of the fleet does not cover the total cost of vehicle ownership.

It should be noted that the map on which the trip routes are designed works online, which allows DV–TCO to display the current situation on roads and take into account traffic jams.
