Sollers will launch the production of steering wheels and airbags in Russia

Sollers will start producing airbags and steering wheels for cars in Russia. Against the background of a shortage of imported spare parts, the company plans to localize the manufacture of passive safety system components. The project will be implemented at the facilities of the main Sollers plant in Ulyanovsk together with a Chinese partner. Its details have not yet been disclosed.

At the first stage, it is planned to attract investments of around 1.5 billion rubles. The Industrial Development Fund, which has already confirmed receipt of a loan request from Sollers, is expected to be the investor.
