An automobile engine manufacturing plant has started operating in Kaluga. This is a joint project of AGR Holding and Defetoo, the company's press service reports. The company will supply engines for models manufactured by partners in Russia (in particular, Tenet and Jeland).

The plant plans to produce engines of various sizes and capacities. The estimated production volume is 150,000 engines per year.

The company has been re-equipped: nine collaborative robots (cobots) were installed, which perform the most critical operations. Cobots interact with operators: the system adjusts the operating parameters based on human actions — motion sensors, force and speed limiters, as well as real-time risk assessment algorithms are responsible for this.
