KAMAZ and Severstal Engineering presented a new model at the largest Russian commercial transport exhibition COMvex in Moscow, NEFAZ–95094 semi-trailer, developed using high-strength POWERS steels.
NEFAZ-95094 semi–trailer is the first 4-axle model with a body volume of 24 m3 and a load capacity of 27.125 tons, designed to transport bulk construction and industrial goods as part of a road train, in the line-up of NEFAZ PTC, KAMAZ subsidiary in Bashkortostan. The novelty is displayed in a coupling with a K5 series tractor unit – KAMAZ-65659, the frame of which is made of ferritic steel of strength class 600 manufactured by Severstal.
The lightweight semi-trailer was designed by the Design Department of NEFAZ PTC and experts from the Severstal Engineering Center for the Development of Efficient Technological Solutions. The full cycle, from customer request to metal fabrication, took 3.5 months. The platform's design has been purposefully upgraded: engineers have changed the geometry and redesigned all the main elements.
