On May 26, Modern Transport Technologies (CTT) presented a new Valdai 45 PRO long-haul tractor unit at the COMvex exhibition.
The novelty became the result of a technical reworking of the first vehicle version and was developed as a response to current requests from Russian carriers. Valdai 45 PRO has received a number of significant updates aimed at improving efficiency, safety and comfort during long trips. The engine capacity has been increased to 490 HP, the transmission ratio of the main drive axle has been reduced to 2,714, and the volume of fuel tanks has increased to 1,040 liters. The increased wheelbase and track provided even higher directional stability.
The novelty is produced by full cycle — with welding, painting and assembly. Cabins receive enhanced insulation, improved noise insulation and anti-corrosion treatment. Moreover, the localization level is consistently increasing. Russian telematics systems, tires, batteries, autonomous heaters, glazing elements and other components are already being actively used. In parallel, work is underway to link other critical components and assemblies offered by Russian suppliers.
