EM Rus and Renera will introduce Russian batteries into UMO 5
EM Rus and Renera (part of Rosatom) companies plan to integrate a fully Russian-designed battery pack into UMO 5 electric car and other models by 2027, according to Ilya Rakshin, EM Rus CEO.
According to Mr. Rakshin, UMO 5 uses a lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry battery.
Recall that in February of the current year, Denis Manturov, the First Deputy Prime Minister, and Sergei Sobyanin, the Moscow Mayor, launched the production of electric and hybrid EVM cars under the UMO brand at the Moskvich Automobile Plant.
