YaMZ will release a new engine for MAZ and UralAZ

The new fully domestic diesel engine called YaMZ-537 will appear in Russia. Its development was started by the Yaroslavl Motor Plant (YaMZ). As reported, prototypes of the domestic diesel unit will be ready by the end of 2022.
The new YaMZ-537 will be based on the existing YaMZ-536 using Russian and Asian components. The engine will be built into Ural and MAZ heavy trucks. Its displacement will be increased from 6.6 to 8.0 liters, while its capacity will grow by 10-15%, to 345-360 HP, depending on the version. Another feature of the future engine will be the genuine crankshaft with a large crank radius.

An automobile engine manufacturing plant has started operating in Kaluga. This is a joint project of AGR Holding and Defetoo, the company's press service reports. The company will supply engines for models manufactured by partners in Russia (in particular, Tenet and Jeland).
