Volgabus-4298 buses have entered the routes of Saint Petersburg

New Volgabus 4298 buses have started transporting passengers of Saint Petersburg.

The model was developed by special order of the Saint Petersburg administration. The vehicle was first presented at the SPB Transport Fest public transport festival in May 2022.

The novelty is equipped with a 132 kW (180 HP) Weichai engine. It is planned to produce versions running on both methane and CNG. For this purpose, either a cryotank or 5 cylinders volume of 123 liters each will be installed. The power reserve on gas–powered fuel exceeds 300 km.
