The Modern Transport Technologies company announced the launch of sales of a new Valdai 45 LNG long-hail tractor unit running on liquefied natural gas on September 23, 2026 in Kazan. The announcement took place within the framework of the conference "LNG fuel. Opportunities. Efficiency. Prospects", organized by NOVATEK company. The model is designed for transport companies seeking to increase transportation efficiency, reduce operating costs and ensure a high level of driver comfort on long-distance routes.

The tractor unit is designed to be operated as part of a road train with GVW of up to 45 tons, while the gross weight of the vehicle itself is 18 tons. The 4,200 mm wheelbase and design parameters of the model ensure compatibility with more than 95% of new and in-service semi-trailers designed for two-axle tractor units. Valdai 45 LNG is equipped with a 6-cylinder gas engine displacement of 14.8 liters. The power unit, coupled with 12-speed automatic gear box, develops capacity of 570 HP and a maximum torque of 2,600 Nm.
