UralAZ plans to launch a new project for the production of automotive components

The "Creation of a foundry of automotive components" project has been launched at the URAL Automobile Plant. The project implementation will increase the production of axles for Ural vehicles and make it possible to provide full import substitution of castings of driving axles and parts for them.

The project is being implemented with participation of the Federal Industrial Development Fund, which provided a preferential loan of 5 billion rubles, as well as VEB.RF, which provided a preferential loan of 2.6 billion rubles.

The "Creation of a foundry of automotive components" project will ensure the strategic safety and uninterrupted operation of the automobile plant. It involves the construction of a new full process cycle foundry with an area of 46,000 m2 and capacity of 45 thousand tons of castings from gray and high-strength cast iron per year to meet the long-term demand for high-quality castings from AZ URAL JSC and external consumers.

The new production facility will be equipped with automatic forming lines, induction melting complexes, rod machines and other process, infrastructural and auxiliary facilities.
