The Chinese BAIC will launch sales of a number of novelties in Russia in 2024. At the moment, it is known about two upcoming premieres of the brand, Autonews reports, citing an official representative of the company.

The first novelty will be BAIC BJ60 frame SUV, which is announced for sale in Russia for the first quarter of 2024. Presumably, a basic version with 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capacity of 266 HP and 406 Nm of torque, coupled with 8-speed automatic gear box, will be available to Russian customers. The model is also equipped with all-wheel drive, differential lock and a whole bunch of systems that help the driver when driving off-road. Chassis — with independent suspension of all wheels.

It is also planned to launch a diesel version of BAIC BJ40 on the market in the coming year. At the moment, information about the technical characteristics of the Russian version of the future novelty has not yet been provided. In China, however, the car is available with 2.0-liter 163-HP diesel 4F20TC13 turbocharged engine with 380 Nm of torque also paired with 8-speed automatic gear box.
