The Chinese Haval, the second largest seller in the new car market after Lada, is preparing to increase its market share. Beginning 2025 the plant's capacity in the Tula region will be increased by about a third (up to 200 thousand cars per year). Moreover, production localization will make it possible to maintain competitive prices for cars.
According to Andrey Akifyev, Executive Director of Haval Motor Rus, the main stage of plant modernization has been completed, the whole process is planned to be completed by the end of the current year. It is also known that by the time the enterprise was launched in 2019, its facilities were designed to produce 150 thousand cars due to limited capacity at different stages of assembly. Now this issue is being solved by expanding bottlenecks, including increasing the area of the plant.
