Geely has announced the launch of a new version of EX5 hybrid crossover called EM-R equipped with a sequential power plant to the Russian market. According to the brand's press service, the model belongs to the category of cars with an increased range (REEV - Range Extended Electric Vehicle) and complements the existing EX5 line-up, which already includes the electric EX5 and the parallel sequential hybrid EX5 EM-I.
The car is based on the GEA (Global Electric Architecture) modular architecture, designed specifically for electrified models.
The powertrain includes 1.5-liter 99-HP air breathed engine and E-DHT automatic hybrid gear box. The peak efficiency of the electrical unit reaches 92.5%. The maximum capacity of the electric motor is 218 HP; the torque is 262 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.1 seconds.
