

The Customer Day of KAMAZ PTC was held in Krasnoyarsk, during which a test drive of the latest K5 generation vehicles was conducted. For the test drive, which took place at the Krasnoe Koltso race track, the latest K5 generation vehicles were provided: KAMAZ-65659 tractor unit and KAMAZ-6595 dumper. During the races, event participants were able to personally evaluate advantages of these vehicles.
KAMAZ-6595 dumper is designed to carry bulk construction, industrial, and household goods. The updated cabin with a 4-point spring suspension provides increased comfort for the driver. A multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen display is installed, and there is a multi-steering wheel. The dumper is equipped with KAMAZ R6 engine coupled with manual gear box. A special feature of K5 generation KAMAZ dumpers is the reinforced frame and drive axles designed for an axial load of 16 tons. The vehicles are equipped with a dump body with a volume of 20 m3. The platform has a heated bottom and side walls with exhaust gases. The load capacity of the dumper is 25 tons.
KAMAZ-65659 tractor unit with a rear lifting axle was also available for a test drive. KAMAZ-65659 (6x2) is a three–axle version of KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit. A special feature of this vehicle is the presence of an additional lifting axle, which increases the total weight of the road train to 44 tons without violating the law in the field of weight limitation. Like the flagship of the K5 line, KAMAZ–54901, this vehicle is equipped with a wide, high cabin with a flat floor, 482-HP engine, 12-speed robotized gear box and is designed to work with various semi-trailers height of 1,150-1,170 mm.
