The former Russian Volkswagen plant will be restarted on August 1, 2024

The restart of production at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga will take place on August 1, 2024, the company's trade union on the VKontakte social network reports.

It is still unknown which models will be produced at the plant. Earlier in June, the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, reported on the meeting of the management of the AGR Automotive Group (LLC AGR) with representatives of the Chinese GAC Motor, which took place in January this year.
