The former GM plant is scheduled to be restarted in Saint Petersburg in 2026
Car production at the former General Motors site in Saint Petersburg will be restarted in early 2026. The project was initiated by the AGR company, which forms a large production cluster at these facilities with its subsidiary AGM.
The project involves building of a scientific and production center with an area of 18 thousand m2. A treasury infrastructure loan of 3.1 billion rubles will be the source of financing. The new cluster is expected to produce thousands of cars annually in the future.

The LADA Easily subscription service has already been used by "several dozen" customers, the AvtoVAZ's press service reports.
The service offers rental of a new LADA Vesta with a fixed monthly payment of 43,990 rubles. The subscription price includes MTPL and hull insurance policies, maintenance, roadside assistance, as well as seasonal tire replacement with the possibility of storing them at the dealership.

Technical details of the novelty have not yet been presented.
