The coupling of Tonar semi-trailer with FAW Oryx tractor unit has been successfully tested

The Vostok Technical Center has become a testing site for Tonar semi-trailer couplings with tractor units by various Chinese manufacturers on a brake stand.

Thus, Tonar-FAW Oryx coupling was successfully tested. The graphs showed that characteristics of the specific braking forces of vehicles are within the approved corridors specified in the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union 018/2011 (UNECE Regulation No. 13).

When testing with other tractor units by Chinese manufacturers, the graphs showed that characteristics of the specific braking forces of tractor units go beyond the corridors specified in TR CU 018/2011. These tractor units do not have the ability to make predominance (advance) settings necessary to coordinate the tractor unit and the semi-trailer.
