The Chinese brand Jetta, which was launched in China by a joint venture between FAW and Volkswagen, has entered the Russian market. FAW-Eastern Europe, which also represents the interests of the FAW brand in the Russian Federation, became the brand distributor. Previously, Jetta cars entered the country under a parallel import scheme. The model line-up includes VA3 sedan, VS5 and VS7 crossovers.
VA3 sedan is based on the PQ35 platform and equipped with 1.5-liter air breather engine capacity of 110 HP (145 Nm of torque), coupled with 5-speed manual or 6-speed Aisin automatic gear box. The model is technically similar to Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Rapid and is available in three versions at the price from 1.93 million to 2.02 million rubles.
The VS5 and VS7 front-wheel drive crossovers, which are analogues of Volkswagen Taos and Skoda Karoq and are based on the MQB platform, have a common powertrain presented by turbocharged 150-HP (250 Nm) 1.4 TSI unit coupled with 6-speed automatic gear box. VS5 cost varies from 2.95 million to 3.15 million rubles, while that of VS7 — from 3.22 million to 3.38 million rubles, respectively. Each model is available in three versions.
