The center for producing apron buses and MAZ vehicle maintenance will be opened in the Smolensk region

A center for producing low-floor apron buses and MAZ vehicle maintenance will be opened in the Smolensk region. The start of its construction was given on May 22, 2026. It is planned to build an administrative and residential complex with office premises, a pre‑sale area, service boxes, and a paint chamber. A separate production building will be adjacent to the complex, where low-floor apron buses will be produced, which will fill the vacant niche in the market and become a reliable replacement for vehicles of manufacturers that left the market.

Moreover, it is planned to create a training class and form rapid response teams in the future. This will make it possible to quickly fix problems and minimize downtime. Currently, geodetic work has been completed, geological and environmental surveys required for the design of the future facility are continuing. Taking into account the volume and stage of work, the estimated completion date of the facility is 2028-2029.

The project operator is LADOGAMAZSERVICE LLC, a subsidiary of the Minsk Automobile Plant.
