Tests of Patriot equipped with turbocharged diesel engine started at UAZ

UAZ has begun testing the popular Patriot SUV equipped with turbocharged diesel engine, the "Trucks and in general" Telegram channel reports, which published the picture of the test sample.

Production of the new 2.0-liter diesel engine has been launched at the Sollers plant in Alabuga. Its capacity for commercial models is 130 HP, but for Patriot it will be increased to 136 HP. According to insider information, the price for the updated Patriot equipped with diesel engine coupled with JAC manual gear box will increase by 250 thousand rubles compared to the current model.

Moreover, changes in lighting technology are expected in the new SUV version. It should also be noted that the updated Patriot will return to active and passive safety elements, which is an important aspect for modern cars. Thus, the cost of the updated model may amount to at least 2.5 million rubles.
