In the near future, an online platform for trading cars between dealers will be launched in the Russian Federation, according to the president of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD) Alexey Podshchekoldin.
The platform developed by ROAD can allow dealers to make deals with both the latest and used cars, offering features such as auctions for recycled cars.
The projected costs of launching the initiative vary from 60 to 100 million rubles, while a significant part of the funds will be allocated to the development of the IT infrastructure. Mr. Podshchekoldin also noted that the association is actively looking for an investor for the project and at the same time attracts regional dealers to participate in the platform.
The platform is expected to start work by the end of 2024.
