Production of the new Volga is planned to be resumed jointly with Geely

Cars of the revived Volga brand will be produced in cooperation with Geely, according to the insider Telegram channel Russian Automobile etc.

Recall that the Volga car line-up was presented to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin in May 2024. These were models equipped with 188-HP petrol units with 300 Nm of torque, coupled with 7-speed automatic gear boxes. These cars never went on sale.

At the same time, information was published that the production of the brand's cars would be launched in 2024 at the facilities of the Nizhny Novgorod automobile cluster, while beginning 2025 it was planned to start assembling cars by full cycle. In spring of the current year, Passenger Car Manufacturing JSC announced that it was continuing to work on a project to produce a new Volga car.
