Production of the new Moskvich-5 may start in the first half of 2024

The release of the new crossover, which will be called Moskvich 5, is expected to start in the first half of 2024. As Autonews reports with reference to eyewitnesses, the first cars of this model were seen at the enterprise – however, no official confirmation of this information has yet been received from the company.

Like the already produced Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 6, the novelty is being created in cooperation with the Chinese concern JAC. It is assumed that it will be based on JAC Sihao X6. It is known that the original crossover is equipped with the same 1.5-liter turbocharged engine as Moskvichi. Its capacity is 149.6 HP. It is also assumed that Moskvich 5 will also be equipped with a second-level autopilot, like JAC Sihao X6.
