Production of LADA Vesta with 6-speed manual gear box has started at AvtoVAZ
AvtoVAZ has launched production of LADA Vesta family cars with a new 6-speed manual gear box. According to Kommersant, this type of gear box is used for the first time in production cars of the enterprise.
It is reported that the new type of gear box will be installed on all models of the Vesta family and, presumably, on other LADA models. The cost and terms of sales of novelties have not yet been announced.
AvtoVAZ representatives say that 6-speed manual gear box, designed for a maximum of 220 Nm of torque, is manufactured by a friendly supplier and is capable of enhancing the traction characteristics of the 1.8 Evo powertrain coupled with it.
