Production of KAMAZ electric buses starts in Moscow

On April 27, the assembly production of KAMAZ electric buses was opened at the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant.
One of the workshops of the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant was upgraded for the assembly of up to 500 electric buses per year. The vehicles themselves, as before, come to Moscow from Neftekamsk on special trawls. Their equipment continues in Sokolniki. At the second stage of production development until 2023, another shop of the company will switch to the assembly, producing 200 more electric buses per year.
The first electric buses assembled in Moscow will be launched on the routes in May.

On July 25, 2024, KAMAZ transferred the NEFAZ-5299-31-52 bus to Simferopol for test operation on suburban routes.
The bus was placed at the disposal of the largest transport company in Crimea, Krymtrolleybus, which carries out passenger transportation in 18 districts of the peninsula, as well as in suburban and international traffic.
