Production of KAMAZ electric buses starts in Moscow

On April 27, the assembly production of KAMAZ electric buses was opened at the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant.
One of the workshops of the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant was upgraded for the assembly of up to 500 electric buses per year. The vehicles themselves, as before, come to Moscow from Neftekamsk on special trawls. Their equipment continues in Sokolniki. At the second stage of production development until 2023, another shop of the company will switch to the assembly, producing 200 more electric buses per year.
The first electric buses assembled in Moscow will be launched on the routes in May.

The vehicle gross weight will be less than 3.5 tons, which will allow it to be operated with a driver's license for passenger vehicles.
