Production of KAMAZ electric buses starts in Moscow

On April 27, the assembly production of KAMAZ electric buses was opened at the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant.
One of the workshops of the Sokolniki Car Repair and Construction Plant was upgraded for the assembly of up to 500 electric buses per year. The vehicles themselves, as before, come to Moscow from Neftekamsk on special trawls. Their equipment continues in Sokolniki. At the second stage of production development until 2023, another shop of the company will switch to the assembly, producing 200 more electric buses per year.
The first electric buses assembled in Moscow will be launched on the routes in May.

Starting from February 2, 2026, Hyperbus gas-powered bus by Volgabus began operating on the streets of Chelyabinsk in a test mode.
There are 51 seats in the bus, which is 90% more than in a standard 12-meter low-floor bus.
The bus runs on eco-friendly compressed natural gas. Due to the thruster axle, it has the same maneuverability as the shorter models.
