AvtoVAZ has equipped the classic LADA Niva Legend SUV with LED daytime running lights (DRL). As Kommersant reports, they will be introduced in all versions except the initial Classic as an option at the cost of 7 thousand rubles. Thus, the price for the most affordable three-door Niva with DRL will be at least 1.1 million rubles.

According to AVTOVAZ's comments, LED running lights are more bright and reliable compared to lights equipped with an incandescent lamp. Thus, the DRL brightness increased by 50%, while the brightness of the parking lights increased 2.5-fold. Also, the use of LEDs improves the balance of energy consumption.
