AvtoVAZ will begin to complete LADA Granta cars with a new CVT instead of the Jatco automatic gear box, according to Dmitry Kostromin, vice president of the company.

At the moment, the plant has a stock of automatic gear boxes, which should be exhausted by the end of 2024. CVT are planned to be introduced no earlier than 2024.

Recall that earlier, the model was equipped with a Jatco automatic gear box. After the breakdown of relations with the Renault-Nissan concern, the supply of such gear boxes stopped, and the production of Granta equipped with automatic gear box was suspended. This year AvtoVAZ resumed production of LADA Granta equipped with Jatco automatic gear boxes remaining in AvtoVAZ warehouses.
