KIA has registered a new Forte model in Russia,  according to the data from the Federal Institute for Industrial Property.

The FIPS data contains information about the name and logo of the model, which is an almost identical copy of KIA Cerato sedan, previously officially sold in Russia. It should be noted that registration does not mean an early premiere on the Russian market, but it secures ownership of the brand for future use in the Russian Federation.

Recall that at the moment, the Korean C-class sedan is being imported to Russia under the parallel import scheme.
