The Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) has upgraded the credit rating of KAMAZ PTC to AA(RU), the outlook is Stable, and bond ratings have also been upgraded.
The results of KAMAZ's work in 2023 became the basis for achieving a high level of creditworthiness of AA(RU) and a stable outlook. The company is a key player in the Russian truck market, strategically important for the state in terms of ensuring transport security. The KAMAZ sales volume expressed in physical terms increased by 4.9% last year. Along with the production of the classic model range, KAMAZ is increasing the volume of production of the new K5 model line-up, as well as actively developing the Compass family of commercial vehicles. Export supplies are carried out to the countries of the near and far abroad. The company plans to further develop export and strengthen its position in target markets.
Also the key assessment factors include the low level of debt burden. The improvement in the assessment is due to the consistently high FFO before net interest payments and the gradual decrease in the total debt of KAMAZ in the forecast period.
