KAMAZ, together with its authorized partner, NPO Transmaster plant (Miass) has launched a new special purpose vehicle model on K5 generation chassis. A tanker based on KAMAZ-65658 vehicle has been added to the product line-up.
For the first time, the vehicle was presented to the general public at the "Special Purpose Vehicles-2025" specialized exhibition held last summer in Kazan.
The technical basis is the innovative K5 chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a cabin with a berth, the modern KAMAZ engine capacity of 390 HP and 12-speed robotized gear box. The design features include 6x2 wheel arrangement and the lifting rear axle that significantly improve performance. The special purpose vehicle meets all the requirements of the ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).
The tanker is made of high-quality carbon steel 09G2C (4 mm thick) with a ladder for lifting to the service area. There is a fuel dispensing unit for metered refueling of any vehicle in the compartment integrated into the tank, located at the rear. The "suitcase" tank cross-section type with two similar compartments ensures optimal stability due to its low center of gravity, which is especially important when transporting over long distances.
