KAMAZ presents K5 family novelties

KAMAZ continues to actively develop new K5 generation vehicles. In June, KAMAZ-54902 and KAMAZ-65658 rolled off the main assembly line of the automobile plant.

Both trucks belong to the transport family and, unlike the flagship K5 KAMAZ-54901, are designed to transport goods between cities over a short distance. They are equipped with 400-HP KAMA DIESEL power unit. KAMAZ-54902 is equipped with a 2,300 mm wide cabin with a low roof and one sleeping place. The height of the fifth-wheel coupling is 1,150 mm, the load on it is 11,250 kg.

KAMAZ-65658, in turn, is intended for the delivery of products by retailers. The long chassis of such a vehicle is convenient for mounting different types of superstructures.

A total of 11 new KAMAZ-54902 transporters were assembled at the automobile plant in June, and 1,900 such heavy-duty trucks should be delivered by the end of 2024. KAMAZ-65658 has a more modest growth rate. The assembly of dumpers of the heavy-duty model line-up is also continuing: recall that their anti-sanctions version was first introduced last year. In 2024, the production of KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65951 trucks will exceed the figure of 500 units.
