KAMAZ is presenting its capabilities in innovative passenger vehicle manufacturing field at the XV International Exhibition ElectroTrans 2026, held in Moscow on September 29-October 1, 2026. At a joint stand with JSC Ryazan Design Bureau Globus, the leading instrumentation enterprise in the Ryazan region specializing in charging stations, KAMAZ is exhibiting the A5 generation KAMAZ-52222 electric bus and KAMAZ-6282 command electric bus.
Mass production of the new A5 generation KAMAZ-52222 electric bus on display began in 2025 by order of SUE Mosgortrans, Moscow's largest ground public transport operator. Unlike the 2018-model KAMAZ-6282 electric bus, the new model boasts the range of up to 100 km, is equipped with a more efficient climate control system with electric cabin heaters, touch-sensitive door opening buttons, and a destination indicator enlarged by 18%. The door design has also been updated: the sliding-plug doors open outward, eliminating the risk of trapping passengers. The standing platform width has been increased to 1,380 mm, meeting European standards, and a dedicated wheelchair area is provided.
