KAMAZ has released the first frame for the new K5 cabin

KAMAZ has assembled the first K5 generation cabin frame for a new vehicle designed for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The product was manufactured as part of the second stage of the import substitution project of the flagship KAMAZ series, funds for its implementation were allocated by the Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation.

This cabin for the new heavy-duty truck will be narrower and lower than that of the flagship KAMAZ-54901 model. A high engine tunnel has appeared in the design, which provides a layout solution for a lower cabin installation. This type is necessary to equip the vehicle with specialized equipment, the ladder, as well as to increase the responsiveness of emergency crews rushing to the rescue.

Another important difference in the cabin frame design is the doors with a cutout for the wheel arch. Additionally, 6 stamping and the same number of control accessories were ordered for the new frame. Tests and acceptance of stamps on the line were carried out at the plant, all details corresponded to the design documentation.
