KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit has been tested in working conditions

One of the largest Russian dairy producers has tested the latest K5 generation KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit in real-world working conditions.

KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit operated in a test mode in the company's fleet for a month. The vehicle was transporting a tanker with milk along the Kazan – Izhevsk – Kazan route. The total mileage made 11 thousand km.

KAMAZ-54901 is equipped with a new KAMAZ-910.52-460 (Euro-5) engine displacement of 13 liters, capacity of 482 HP and a torque of 2,403 Nm. The use of modern high-tech design solutions made it possible to increase the service interval to 120 thousand km, and the engine life to 1.5 million km, while reducing fuel consumption by 10% compared to previous generation vehicles. KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit is equipped with a new low noise and highly efficient 12-speed robotized gear box, which reduced fuel consumption.
