A "smart" voice assistant has appeared in the on-board information system of K5 generation KAMAZ vehicles. KAMAZ has become the first Russian manufacturer to introduce voice control of vehicle functions.

Now drivers can give voice commands to control the climate system while driving (adjust the direction of air flow, change the temperature of heating and air conditioner), request the current parameters of the vehicle (for example, to clarify the load on the bridge), launch the necessary applications, make calls or answer incoming calls on the phone, find out the date, time, switch tracks in the media player and radio station, change the sound volume, and play Word chain while waiting in traffic jams. Voice control of the vehicle functions helps to keep the focus on the traffic situation and improves traffic safety.

Serial production of K5 generation KAMAZ vehicles equipped with a voice assistant started in 2025. In addition, this functionality will also appear in KAMAZ vehicles launched starting from the second quarter of 2023.
